Video calls and remote work have become almost universal since the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic, and international teams are working together more effortlessly than ever before. Whether we like it or not, conversations that would previously have never been held online are now taking place virtually. Job interviews are no exception.

This shift online has meant that employers can interview applicants on other continents, but finding the right talent involves more than just a simple video call. Onboarding and integrating remote workers from different countries with different employment laws can present an additional set of unique challenges. Spielfeld members Talentspace and New Horizons Global Partners are uniquely qualified to help ambitious fast-scaling companies connect with quality international talent.

Talentspace

Impactful virtual and hybrid career events.

Talentspace was founded in 2017 with the aim of improving the recruiting experience and increasing accessiblity. In the years that followed, Talentspace grew to be one of the biggest in-person recruiting events in Europe, and 2020 was scheduled to be its largest yet. But as COVID forced organizations across the the world to cancel event plans, the team realized they had to act quickly and move their event online. The 2020 Virtual Talent Summit was so successful that the team decided to adapt their business model. With that, Talentspace set out to revolutionize the recruiting industry by developing a platform for high quality and customizable virtual and hybrid career events.

Today, Talentspace is the leading virtual and hybrid job fair and networking platform for colleges, employers and recruiters. In 2020 Talentspace completed a 4M investment round and has since expanded their team. They’ve hosted over 100 global recruiting events, connecting more than 20,000 job-seekers with hundreds of companies. Some of their past clients include Porsche AG, Procter & Gamble, REWE Group, Brown University, Amazon and Danone. The team recently announced that they will be a part of the German Accelerator Market Access Program which will help the team at prepare and successfully enter the U.S. market. We look forward to see what the team has in store next!

Horizons

Global employment made easy.

New Horizons Global Partners has always viewed hiring from a global perspective. In fact, New Horizons Global Partners specifically caters to organizations looking to expand internationally. They are a Global Professional Employment Organization (Global PEO) which “allows companies to expand overseas and employ staff in new markets and locations without the need to set up a legal identity.” This means that ambitious quickly-scaling companies save the time and money it takes to set up legal entities in new countries.

Although COVID has pushed along the trend of distributed teams and remote work, New Horizons has always been focused on multinational teams. Trends like increasing investment in China, or companies adjusting to a post-Brexit world were already pushing companies to seek local recruiting advice. Increasingly competitive labor markets are also pushing companies to recruit outside traditional talent pools. With offices in Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region, New Horizons Global Partners offers hiring solutions for over 150+ worldwide markets and is uniquely positioned for success during the global transition to remote work. We’re excited to have them as one of the newest members of the Spielfeld community.
